The documentary portrays the customs and traditions of the territory in the late 1970s and constitutes an ethnographic document that captures the social and cultural reality of Gipuzkoa at that time.
Filmed between 1976 and 1979, the film was commissioned by the Municipal Bank of San Sebastián on the occasion of the institution’s centenary and was included in the series Documentos Culturales de Euskadi. It is divided into eight parts: Man, Stone, Meadows, The Tree, The Rural Environment, Iron, The Sea and The Towns.
The film was digitized by the technical department of the Basque Film Archive.
