Synopsis / description

Film shot in August 1924 at the Begoña Estate, Mexico, owned by the Basque-born landowner Joaquín Echegaray. The estate is situated near the River Nazas, where there is a major dam used to irrigate the land. The Nazas is a river of inland Mexico that flows through the states of Durango and Coahuila. The film captures scenes of the Echegaray family’s life on their estate, where they work in the cotton trade.
