Synopsis / description

On the first Sunday in October, the Errebonbilloak festival takes place in Elorrio. This is a military parade whose origins appear to lie in the old militias with which each municipality participated in defence or warfare. The rifle company, made up of the village’s young men, marches out in the morning and afternoon and fires volleys at specific locations in the village. In the evening, a procession takes place with the Virgin of the Rosary, ending with a dance in the main square.
