This institution was founded in the late 19th century by Jean-Baptiste Bidegaray (1848–1920), a businessman born in Hasparren who had been living in Uruguay since 1866. The footage features: Juan Bidegaray and his wife; members of the Board of Directors; the Charity Committee and the Young Ladies’ Committee; the Ladies’ Committee; a group of young women, people dancing the trikitixa; the tombola and the sports ground.
